Xander Gamble is an award-winning military broadcaster. Serving in the U.S. Navy since August 2004, he has been telling stories from Norfolk, Virginia, to Crete, Greece, to Afghanistan, and in many of the United States.
With a passion for education, Xander completed his Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from the University of Maryland University College while serving in Greece. Afterward, he earned his Master of Science in Interactive Media from Quinnipiac University, completing one-third of the program while deployed to Afghanistan. When he was selected for the Navy’s advanced visual journalism program at S.I. Newhouse’s School of Public Communications, he enrolled in the Master of Arts in Television, Radio, and Film program, graduating after two semesters.
For the military, Xander Gamble has covered stories from the Defense Secretary in Afghanistan to U.S. Congressmen in Greece, and spent a year leading the All Hands Update team, creating the premiere daily newscast for the U.S. Navy from the Washington, D.C. area.
